Shell has introduced Goal Zero - a simple message that helps drive our HSSE commitment of no harm to people. Goal Zero means that we will no longer accept that some injuries, accidents or high potential incidents are inevitable. It describes how we need to think about safety, and therefore how we manage the business.
Life Saving Rules
Shell follows a set of guidelines called 'Life-Saving Rules'. There are 12, and they are complied with throughout Shell. If one of these rules is broken, the consequences can be severe. The Rules set out clean and simple 'do's and don'ts' covering activities with the highest potential safety risk.
